"Mode" by Aram Ruhi Ahangarani

Mode

Dear people,

do you have some time today?

There’s someone calling you this way.

I sit upon the dresser tall

it’s the fashion, after all.

The red lamp glows,

blonde hair flows.

The photo framed in burning light,

do you want to claim it tight?

Take something to forget,

just eat it now, no need to fret.

Drift downstream or rise above,

all you need is sleep, my love.

Mode

Liebe Leute
habt ihr etwas Zeit heute
da gibt es jemand der euch möchte
ich sitze auf der Kommode
es ist so heute Mode
die rote Lampe ist an
blonde Haare sind dran
das Foto vor der Lampe
wollt ihr euch schnappen
nehmt was um zu vergessen
das müsst ihr einfach essen
den Bach runter oder rauf
braucht ihr jetzt mal den Schlaf

"UNTITLED", 10.10.2013 by Aram Ruhi Ahangarani

I wear a scarf around my neck,

I got it from the nose shop,

but now it makes me too sweet,

and ever since I’ve worn it,

no one is afraid of me anymore,

even deer and foxes want to cuddle.

It’s strange,

it’s just this scarf from the nose shop,

and yet everything around me

has changed so much.

"UNTITLED", 3.10.2013 by Aram Ruhi Ahangarani

Somewhere in the world, at the same time,

someone stands before a white wall as a guilty person,

photographed from all sides,

so that they can define his identity.

He stands there and thinks:

I’ve always been a faithful believer,

why do they have to take me,

I’ve always been a good believer.

Now I stand here before this white wall

and I’m completely naked, since they must examine everything.

I want to admit something,

for the first time, I have doubts about my life.

"Das Wort" by Aram Ruhi Ahangarani

The Word

Questions, questions, can you bear them?

Generalizing devours the word,

The word that beguiles,

Truth is so true and bright,

Life stands and goes on its flight.

I’m as private as my Facebook,

I’m as public as my handkerchief,

I look up, and I am seen,

Online I stand, and hope to stay keen.

The goblin wants something from me,

A cola, he asks so greedily,

Cola needs to come from the fridge,

Cola revives and lives in the fridge.

Das Wort

Fragen Fragen kannst du sie ertragen?
Verallgemeinern frisst das Wort
Das Wort das betört
Die Wahrheit ist so wahr und heiter
Das Leben besteht und geht so weiter
Ich bin so privat wie mein Facebook
Ich bin so öffentlich wie mein Taschentuch
Ich schaue auf und bin öffentlich
Online bin ich und bleibe hoffentlich
Der Kobold will was von mir

A Journey to Travel

Between Chur and RuhigRaum

Therese Raschle, Marco Giana, Birgit Kempker, and Aram Ruhi Ahangarani

15.11.2012

Giving a spoonful of earth to the suitcase is considered the first step,

so goes the journey through Chur, which we, Therese Raschle, Marco Giana, Birgit Kempker, and I, also took as an event of FuF, invited by Peter Trachsel and his Hasena, in collaboration

with the Chur Theatre, on November 15, 2012. As complicated as the description is, the path

was easier. Birgit carried two tables and a blue blanket from the Marsoel Hotel, along with shoes in her backpack, earth, tablecloths, matches, incense sticks, a suitcase, a bag, a walking stick, and a throwing stick… to the station. Therese and Marco sat at small tables on chairs, writing on paper, speaking into a Dictaphone, capturing what was happening in their minds and before their eyes, ears, and noses. I kept throwing the stick to point the direction. Birgit put earth from her hiking boots into a small blue suitcase with a long spoon. She lit the earth with incense sticks. She stamped the phrase: “Giving a spoonful of earth to the suitcase is considered the first step” on people’s forearms or on a crepe band. She stuck these strips with sayings onto various surfaces in Chur. The stamp was lovingly crafted by local artisans in collaboration with the local stationery. Birgit had people draw cards and blindly pick pages from a prepared book to illustrate the first steps and support them with a small gift. On a carousel with long white flowers by Not Vital, an uncertain street musician joined us and played, and an older gentleman took out children’s instruments from his briefcase and played too. The journey ended at the foot of the Martinskirche. We ate earth and later at the Marsoel Hotel, apple paprika goulash and chestnut compote.
