"Das blaue Ding" (The blue Thing) by Aram Ruhi Ahangarani

The Blue Thing

2:35 min

The blue thing, for example,

it wants to break free from the wall,

a wall papered with the ornaments of my existence.

It seems as though the ornaments have transformed into this blue thing.

But the blue thing is too large,

filling the space with its sheer size.

Watch out, someone wants to set everything on fire.

Who it is, no one knows.

I only see the hands, but I don’t recognize them.

They are foreign to me.

I try to extinguish the fire.

Or perhaps I let part of the ornaments

and the blue thing burn in the flames,

keeping only what must remain.

Dark burn marks now appear on the blue thing,

and it has turned more petrol blue.

A covering white

like the whiteness of snow in winter

is what I need now.

But I have no white paint.

And outside, spring has arrived.

untitled - Aram Ruhi Ahangarani

I see it there, under the round wooden table,

on the parquet floor, an injured mosquito,

spending its last strength

to fly again,

to perhaps live on for a few more hours.

Yes,

to go on living,

that is the only commandment for the wounded mosquito.

And I,

I am not a mosquito.

I,

I want to live.

But this,

language cannot describe.

Or could it,

if we were to set it free

Free it from us,

by freeing ourselves from the things

that keep us from flying,

things

that, in turn,

can only be described through language.

"Der Blaue Reiter" (The Blue Rider) by Aram Ruhi Ahangarani

The Blue Rider

I ride

I ride

Terror wants to guide me

I remain silent and ride

I am the Blue Rider

I ride

I ride, preparing for what is to come

Der blaue Reiter

Ich reite
Ich reite
Der Schrecken will mich leiten
Ich schweige und reite
Ich bin der blaue Reiter
Ich reite
Ich reite und will es vorbereiten

"Space Expansion" Aram Ruhi Ahangarani's Ornaments on Wallpapers

"Space Expansion"

Aram Ruhi Ahangarani's

Ornaments on Wallpapers

until November 15, 2013
16 - 20 pm by appointment
RuhigRaum, Zurich

This exhibition explores the fluid relationship between space and image. By placing ornaments on wallpaper, I extend my artistic language beyond the frame, allowing patterns to expand and redefine the room itself.
