Each painting I create depicts a self-contained landscape or space, often featuring objects of seemingly familiar form.
When engaging with my composed works, the viewer not only enters each individual space but also experiences the combined space of the works, much like stills from a motion picture or a slideshow. This interaction activates the viewer’s mind to connect not just the paintings, but also the surrounding space.
The room is reflected in the lines, color, and structure of the paintings, and I aim to redefine the room through these qualities and those of the defined composition.
Chess has been a significant source of inspiration for me, as I am fascinated by the process of decision-making and the seemingly endless possibilities of figure combinations on the chessboard.
